Mineral turpentine oil is a low-cost petroleum-based alternative for vegetable-based turpentine. It’s often used as an organic solvent in various applications and as a paint thinner for diluting oil-based paint and cleaning brushes.

MTO is used as an extraction solvent, cleaning solvent, degreasing solvent, and solvent in aerosols, paints, wood preservatives, lacquers, varnishes, and asphalt products.
